The MACH Molly Award
The MACH Molly Award at the AKC Agility Invitational
The AKC Agility Invitational is takes place annually in Orlando, Florida. The top 5 agility dogs in each breed are invited to attend. Keeshonden have always traveled to represent our wonderful breed and it is not uncommon to see a Keeshond in the finals.
Keeshonden hold a special place in AKC Agility history. Molly, handled by Maureen Waldron, raised the bar of agility excellence for all breeds by being the first to get a MACH 2 through 17 (one MACH is 20 QQs plus 750 speed points – no small achievement). KCA commemorates Maureen and Molly’s groundbreaking agility success with the “MACH Molly Award”. It is given yearly at the AKC Agility Invitational to the highest MACH dog in the country.
In the agility world where Border Collies are revered, we are all so proud that it was originally a Keeshond who inspired all the greater agility community to excel!
